I was tagged by Kayley from Friendly First Foods to fill out this short questionnaire, a nice way to round off the year I think! Thanks Kayley!
What was your highlight of 2016?
I think I would have to say our first family holiday to Center Parcs in May. Having gone through IVF, pregnancy complications, a premature birth and a hectic first year with the boys, we looked forward to this holiday for months and it really ticked all the boxes for us. It really cemented feeling like a family for me. We have been back since and can’t wait to go again in 2017.
Name one thing you are likely to remember about 2016 if asked in five years time?
Trump. Enough said.
Sum up 2016 in one word.
Name one pearl of wisdom from 2016 that you will carry through 2017.
To just have the confidence to keep being me. I turned 30 this year and have found that over the last few months I have really started to let go of trying to live up to certain expectations and comparing myself to others. I want to feel authentic.
Do you have any New Year resolutions?
I don’t have any! Aside from the above, I would like to try to be more organised in the next year though. I posted on Instagram about my lovely new kikki.k planner and I am hoping it will help me!
How are you seeing in the New Year?
Chilling on the sofa in my pyjamas, writing this post, and planning to be in bed well before midnight. Rock. And. Roll. But sleep > partying at this stage in life.
What would you most like to do in 2017?
Fulfil a personal goal that I have waited years to achieve. I’m not going to say much about it for now, except that I’m on the way to doing it and it should be completed by the end of the year. Watch this space!
What are your main goals for 2017?
Aside from the above, I haven’t really set any specific goals. I suppose to continue trying to be the best mum I can be, keep working on my blog when I can and see where it takes me. Keep building on current friendships and developing new ones. Doing whatever I can to help Douglas and Arthur to develop and thrive.
How was your year? Have you made any New Year’s resolutions?
