Come and take a tour around our twin boys’ nursery!
Wallpaper – Into the Wild by Hibou Home
This was one of the first wallpapers I seriously considered when I settled on a woodland theme. It was so unlike other designs I’d seen and I felt it would be suitable for the twins as babies and older. I think the calm grey compliments the pale green walls really well.
Cot Beds, Changing Table & Wardrobe – Lulworth by Mothercare
We fell in love with this range when we saw it in store. It feels sturdy and strong, and we’re hoping it will last us a good few years. The cot bed mattress can be placed at two heights and then converts to a bed for the toddler years upwards.
Lamp – Ceramic Owl Table Lamp, Homebase
Table – Second Hand
Armchair – IKEA (no longer available) Similar here
Yellow Cushion – (exact no longer available) Scion Mini Mr Fox Cushion, John Lewis
Wall Unit – Second Hand
We picked up this set of shelves from a local charity shop for around £15. It needed a bit of a clean and we added some brackets to allow us to wall-mount it, but it’s the perfect size for displaying a few bits and pieces. I’m sure the boys will have their own ideas for what to put on here when they’re older, but for now it’s home to some keepsakes and gifts. How sweet are the shoes?!
Curtains – Star Pencil Pleat Blackout Lined Curtains, little home at John Lewis
Book Shelves – (Repurposed) BEKVÄM Spice Racks, Ikea
I discovered on Pinterest one day that these little wooden racks had become very popular as book storage. They were just the right size for this area by the window and I just painted them pale grey to fit in with the scheme.
Initial Embroidery Hoops – Gift from a very talented friend!
So that’s the tour! I loved working on this room as a project and spending time here now that it’s done! We made the most of the space as well and have plenty of storage for the time being. I think in future, a small bookcase could replace the table next to the armchair. I’d love to hear your thoughts on any changes/additions I could make!
Do you have twin boys? What theme did you pick for their room?
